YEA Mom!!

In an unexpected turn of events, I have accepted a job as the head women's basketball coach at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois! As many of you know, I worked at NCC for four years before Miles was born, and I have always wanted to be a head coach. I would not have accepted this job if it had meant that we would need to put Miles in daycare; instead, Brian will watch him on his days off and Aunt Carina has offered to keep him one day per week during the basketball season. On the other days, I will work from home and bring Miles along with me to the office and hire a babysitter to watch him during practices.

So far Miles loves the attention he gets from the team. He also loves any kind of ball, so I have the feeling that he won't object to hanging out in the gym next winter. It sure beats sittin' around the house!

If you'd like to read more about my acceptance of this position, there is a nice write-up on North Central College's website (http://www.northcentralcollege.edu/x44908.xml)
and on the June 3rd news release page at D3 Hoops (http://www.d3hoops.com)

I want to thank everyone for the support and encouragement I've received from family and friends so far in this new role.

I especially want to thank Brian, who always pushes me to reach my potential and is willing to sacrifice some of our time together at home so I can achieve my goals.

GO CARDINALS!
